My Worst Nightmare
After laying down at 2AM last night to try and go to sleep, I tossed and turned for a bit and eventually closed my eyes… only to open them again at around 3:30 with the worst feeling I have ever felt in my stomach. I was moaning in pain it was that bad. I tried to just lay still until the shock-waves of pain and nausea went away, then I felt it coming. I threw the blanket off of me and jumped off my bed, it came up. I put my hand over my mouth to try and avoid a mess, I still made one. Running for the bathroom I felt it coming up really fast. Once in the bathroom more came up, so much my hand removed itself. So much that while running I slipped in my own vomit and crashed on the floor making a mess of the bathroom and my clothes. It was loud enough to wake up my parents which was mildly embarrassing considering I was covered in throw up, even if they are my parents. It was the worst/best feeling in the world. After cleaning all of that up I went to bed peacefully.
When I woke up I was in shock to see it was 1:00, and I had a host shift at 12. I quickly called my manager, and he was pretty pissed. I slipped in there that I was sick last night and my alarm didn’t go off but I didn’t want to make excuses. He said he already had someone come in for the hosting shift, but I was supposed to serve tonight at 5. He had to think it over so I have to call him back in an hour. this is just what I need right now -__- . Not to mention, my schedule is so shitty. last night and tonight were my ONLY serving shifts. Tomorrow I’m SPG, Sunday closing QSS and Monday To-Go. Hopefully either Cheesecake Factory or Apple Store comes through and I can land a spot in one of those places, it would be amazing if I can put Ruby Tuesday behind me.
